Merry Christmas!!!

Greetings to all of our friends and family!

It's Christmas Eve and I just can't believe how fast this year has gone. I have enjoyed the preparation for Christmas (although it is never stress free....) It has been fun to make cookies with Nicholas and let him pick out a couple of gifts, especially his to Daddy. Last night he and Daddy made gingerbread men for the first time. I helped out some....but my main task was to clean up the kitchen from supper. :)

Elizabeth has decided to "walk" now. She cruises along on the furniture very well. She has even managed to move from one thing to another on occasion. One of her first attempts didn't go so well, and she ended up with a nice big bump on her forehead. She is fine....just a little bit of the bruise left now. Up until yesterday, she was doing pretty good at leaving the Christmas tree and the gifts alone. But sometime yesterday morning, she decided to play with one of the ornaments (yes - it's a little low) and then later she decided she really liked the white bow on Nicholas' package from Mommy and Daddy. I anxiously await tomorrow morning to see what she does.

Nicholas is very excited about Santa coming. He wants to leave cookies for him and an apple for Rudolph. Santa called this morning, and Nicholas was not a bit shy about telling him all of this. He also told Santa (AGAIN) that he wants Spiderman and Lightning McQueen. ...and that his sister wants a doll. He has been good about talking to Santa for her...no prompting on our part. How's that for a big brother???? I hope that Santa is good to all of you.

On Saturday, be sure to root on the Mountaineers as they play UNC in the Meineke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte, NC! (on ESPN at 1pm EST....)

May God bless you and your family this holiday season. And may you have a great 2009!
