One final night on Meriman Drive. The movers have been working really hard to get us ready for tomorrow. Monday they had 95% of everything packed and ready to load. Today was spent loading the truck. The driver told me today that they have about half a day's work left tomorrow before they can leave. Hopefully, they are done early enough that the kids and I can lay our heads down in WV tomorrow night.
As I was traveling last week, I heard the song Friends by Michael W. Smith. I feel that the lyrics are very appropriate for this chapter in our lives.
We will miss you all very much! See you again someday!
Friends by Michael W. Smith
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Cant believe the hopes hes granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But well keep you close as always
It wont even seem you've gone
cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the lords the lord of them
And a friend will not say never
cause the welcome will not end
Though its hard to let you go
In the Fathers hands we know
That a lifetimes not too long to live as friends.
