Brickyard Weekend

After Mike and the kids picked me up at camp, we met up with some of the McWhorters for lunch in Weston. It was good to see them since we weren't going to make it to the family reunion that Sunday. After lunch, we headed west to Indiana! Mike had gotten tickets for the Nascar race on Sunday afternoon.

We spent the weekend with our good friends, the Gammons. Saturday evening, they hosted an open house so that friends could come visit with us. That was great seeing everyone! Earlier in the day, we made our way to the old neighborhood to visit with Maynard and Rita, the folks that lived across the street and took care of us, especially when Mike was gone. We also saw some other friends (Gwen and the Nemes) before heading back to the party. Sunday we went to church, then Mike went to the race. While he was there, the kids and I visited with Tracey and then Dick and Judy. Later in the evening we saw the Allisons. Monday we headed back to WV. It was a really fast weekend, but it was SO nice to see so many of our friends from Indiana. We were sorry that we missed some too. But there is always next time!
