A Great Weekend!

On Saturday afternoon, the individuals who have said they would be in the handbell choir at church had a meeting to discuss several things, most importantly when to practice. We had a wonderful couple of hours of fellowship. Everyone is excited about the handbells, and Mike and I are happy about being led to start this music ministry back up at the church. Now to get practicing and playing!

In addition to church on Sunday, we had to stop at Lowe's on the way home and get a hot water tank. Ours started leaking early last week, and we finally had a chance to get to the store yesterday to get one. Well, Mike tied the box down in the back of the truck and we headed for home. We had to stop once and readjust some of the straps because we were concerned about how it was wiggling. Then several more miles up the road, and no more straps later, we stopped again. This time I climbed in the back of the truck and rode home with the tank....in my church clothes. (Luckily, I wore pants yesterday!) Boy, that was an adventure. After having sat back there, I think the tank was wobbling because of the wind. But at least we got it home safe and sound. Mike did a great job of installing the tank, the kids loved playing in the box it came in (of course!), and we now have hot water from a tank that doesn't leak! Yeah!
